“Nice place, easy acces, quiet, trails, history of fisheries”

Location of one acre active garden.
On the Sacramento river, at the Federally developed control dam, fish ladder, lot of vintage stuff that has been left behind. California decided to open the control and the system sit there not used. Met two fisheries guys who still collect sample of fish. There project to determine the juvenile behavior of the sturgeon; said no data from other sources so they are filling in the gap. Well worth a visit.

“Nice park”

Here now for a week, site is level, shaded, 50 amp with water. Quiet. 2 miles from town, shopping, restaurants, library, laundramat, etc. location feels safe, no through traffic. Camp host is onsite and conscientious. Bathrooms are modern, flush, coin showers. We are very comfortable. Would have given it a 5 star if there was an RV dump site. Good Verizon cell coverage and multiple TV channels with simple antenna. Easy in and out. Bike trails and hiking trails well marked, maintained.

“Not to fancy nice facility”

Very close to the interstate, you can hear the highway at times though way in the distance, a nice alternative to more private expensive campgrounds in the area.

A standard Forest Service campground with paved roads and plumbed bathrooms with showers. Many shade trees so you can likely find one to keep the rig cooler. Some of the spaces have electricity and water hookup. Be sure to get the bathroom codes from the hosts as the facilities are locked.

Located next to a now decommissioned fish ladder. Sadly no interpretive information that is relevant to the history of the ladder and why it was decommissioned is on site. The graphs that are present in the out of date display show the sad decline of the fish population in the Sacramento River. Gives you that feeling of the place just shut down and everyone left.

“Nice Facility”

Tons of space. Very clean. Only minus is no dump station.
