“Easy Check In and Very Nice”

We checked in late on Sunday and picked up our paperwork and site assignment easily as promised. The pull-through sites are very long and fairly level. The campground is right off the highway, so it's easy to access but you do hear some traffic noise. It didn't bother us at all though. We would definitely stay here again!

“Great for a day or two stop”

Agree with other reviews: very nice basic RV park. Close to the town of Canyon & to the Palo Duro Canyon SP.

“Close to the interstate and Palo Duro Canyon”

Nice basic rv campground with friendly staff. Pull thru sites. Offered military discount. Paid $25 for 30 amp with water and waste water.

“It is what it is”

We were traveling back and forth to San Antonio from Colorado and stayed here on the way down and on the way back. It's cheap, right off the highway, and easy to get in and out of. The lady running the desk is very friendly and helpful. It's a no frills place and as long as you understand that, it's a great place to overnight. We found it quiet, very pet friendly, clean and met all of our needs. It's also a great place to camp if you have time to visit the Canyon and check out Texas, the musical.
We will definitely stay here again if traveling through.

“2 nights”

We stayed 2 nights June 15th and 16th 2016. Large flat pull through gravel site with grass around. $25/NIGHT full hookup 50 amp with Good Sam discount. Restroom recently redone 2 showers 2 toilets. Very clean. Staff nice. Will stay here again when passing through. Easier to stay here than in canyon since it's about 10 degrees cooler.

“Clean campground in a convenient location”

We stayed at Palo Duro RV Park for 3 nights in a 40' fifth wheel. Our site was a long pull-through on hard packed gravel with grass around it. The laundry room was clean but two of the dryers were not operable. It appeared that most of the RVs there were owned by long-term residents but they appeared to be well maintained. The best thing about this campground is its location. It's less than a mile from I-27 and only a couple of miles from downtown Canyon. A Super Wal-Mart is about 3 miles away. Amarillo and the Palo Duro Canyon State Park are each within 10 miles. Our rate was only $25 per night (tax included) with the Good Sam's discount. We would stay here again.

“Great for going to Palo Duro Canyon”

Right by I27, but traffic noise in not bad at all. Redoing the bathrooms now, 1 is done and is really nice. Temporary sites are very large and big rig friendly. Rain could make muddy, but not sloppy! Lots of full time campers here, but did not mind. Staff is very friendly and helpful. No tub or pool, but very quiet. Will definately stay again. Stayed in a 42' fifth wheel!

“Clean, reasonable, friendly”

Only $25 full hookup (30 amp)

“Nice campground near palo duro canyon state park”

We stayed here two nights in a 40' motor home. Our site was a pull thru with full hookups. Site was level gravel with a small grassy area. Internet was great and good cell phone reception. Price was reasonable ($25 with good sam's membership). Made for a good home base to hike at palo duro canyon state park. Would recommend this campground. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

“Stayed one night”

Appears to be under newer management and looks like they are trying to make improvements. Our site was level and shaded, however it stormed overnight and there was mud everywhere. Seemed like a good number of long time residents not really separated from the temporary rv'ers. But good for if your staying a few days.

“Nice clean quiet friendly stop ”

“Good value”

Agree with previous reviewer. Good rate but did not check out restrooms. Many long term campers there.

“Good place if not staying at Palo Duro”

Road in has chuck holes, but park road is asphalt. Sites are pull- thru, packed dirt with rock, semi level & plenty long for tow. Easy off & on the Interstate, but road noise not an issue. Satellite friendly. 3 miles to Walmart. Friendly manager. We spent 2 nites here in June with a 40' MH & we' d stay again if coming thru this area especially for the rate of $25 for full hookup per nite
