“Land between the Lakes area”

This area was formed when they put in a dam to control flooding. The State Park is huge. The "Resort Park" is because there is a hotel, many, many cabins, boat launch and campground. Boating, fishing, bird watching, archery and hiking are some of the activities in the area.

But let's talk about the campgrounds. It consists of one main circle with 2 small circle off of it. Larger RVs should stay in the main circle near the restrooms. We found the two small circles, although closer to the lake have smaller un-level sites. It's worth noting, there was barely enough room to maneuver our 32' 5W through these smaller circles. We opted to stayed on site 80, With some effort, we got it level. Other sites that larger rigs might consider sites 81-86. Nice bonus: many sites have lovely wood decks for your picnic table. They charge a little extra for those sites, but very nice feature.

There is a host couple there to direct you or use the "honor system" box nearby. The rates with water/electric Sun-Thurs $19.00, Wkend $21/night. Senior 62+ receive 10% discount. FYI: we had no issues with hook-ups but camp brochure says hook-ups can be 50' from site.
