“Great Experience ”

Great park, we had our first camping experience here and loved it. The Beach and lake were also great. The park is family and pet friendly. The campsite privacy and shade from many trees was a bonus. Will return.

“Back to nature”

Very nice older park with some sites more level than others. Plenty of low hanging branches that are hard to miss due to the narrow interior roads.

We were there in mid June and the cicadas were chirping away. Our site, 188, had an infestation of ground wasps that are huge. As long as your little finger, but basically harmless to people, unless you aggravate them. They nest in tunnels that they aggressively dig during the day as they fly around feeding on the cicadas.

They didn't bother us, but they made it hard to build a campfire because of all the nests they tunnelled inside the campfire ring.

If you arrive towing a car, a good place to unhook is in the beach parking lot. It's large and usually vacant.

Great park. Wooded sites, mostly shaded. Has bike trails, lake, Atlantic Ocean Beach. Easy in and out. Had a little problem leveling but finally succeeded. Several playgrounds and lots and lots of picnic tables scattered around the lake with a swimming beach and fishing.Several boardwalks down to the Ocean. Kudos to the city for maintaining such a great place. We camped in a 35' motorhome. Would stay here again when in the area.

“The best of Florida ”

Spent thanksgiving week 2016 and enjoyed the park and surrounding areas.

I liked it very much. Every park has its good points and bad one. The good outweigh the bad. Ain't bad for $$$

“Nice site”

If you want a wooded site with plenty of walking, biking and the beach, this is a great site. Little more natural than some of the more manicured sites but all the sites are nestled amongst the trees with shrubs all around.
They have pull thu sites so towing is not a problem, full hookup but no cable and no shop on site so bring your fire wood etc. the beach is a short walk or bike ride.
I gave this a 5 star at around $30 plus tax it's hard to beat.

“Needs help”

Nice park but needs some TLC. Probably won't come back.

Could use some cleaning up, needs new picnic tables, paved sites, and general maintenance. It is a beautiful campground with the canopy of trees that it has.

“Great park”

Restrooms leave something to be desired... Great sites, full hookup, lovely beach... Bring your bikes... Can handle larger rigs. We will be back!!!!

It's pretty nice if you like to be in real nature. Lots of trees and shade. The beach is far, there is no WIFI and no laundry facility. This is a city owned park and it's pretty good for the money, it has full hook ups, including sewer and there were some Mosquitos, but not that many. Bring your own wood, if you care to make a fire, there's no store selling anything here.

“Ditto ”

Best cf we've ever been to.

Trails, trees and of course...... beaches! Love it here. Want to come back
