Stayed the night. The owners greeting us on arrival.
Easy access off the highway. Bare bones RV Park. Very clean and level sights. We’ll be back. Before arriving they received 11 inches of rain. Site was dry and owner placed a mat at our door so we wouldn’t dirty our own. Nice touch. ✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️

“Basic but great”

Games, fishing pond, level sites, close to I10 easy access, fastest internet we’ve had yet at any campground! Fire wood free at site! Takes National Park pass as discounts

We stayed close to park entrance very little road noise.

Owner are SUPER friendly and helpful. She gave us a door mat to use because it was raining told us not get ours out and get it wet. How much nicer can ya be?

Would stay again.

“Would stay again”

Pros: short mile off I-10, owners walked up to us when we pulled in with the paperwork, $25 plus tax with Escapee's card, escorted to site, provided with a door carpet, offered free wood and they would build the fire. Plenty of room to leave 37 foot 5th wheel attached.

Cons: no bath house or laundry facilities, some noise from interstate.

A great overnight stop!!

“Great place for big rigs”

Needed a place for the night, I'm 70ft and had no problem navigating the roads and the site was plenty big. The owners are super nice, this is there dream and I'm happy to see them living it. I drive a 7 figure coach but am not a snob, if you are a snob drive on by. If your one of the normal people come and support this young couple. Oh, fantastic enclosed dog play/potty area. My 5 had a blast trying to escape to chase the squirrels.

“Very nice”

Nice park. Would highly recommend. Very nice friendly and accommodating owners.

“Hospitality and more”

A very nice place for an overnight stay. Long, pull-thru sites that are level and wide. Owners even give you an entrance mat to use for your stay. Reasonable price, cordial reception, nice dog park, lawn games if you are so inclined. Yes, we highly recommend this park.

“Nice RV park”

We are returning from evacuating from hurricane Irma and found this quaint little RV park. The owners are very nice, you don't even have to get out of your rig to check in. It's a work in progress but you can tell the owners love their park and are making it something wonderful. They said pull thru sites available and that's exactly what we got, after everything we've been thru it's nice to have someone deliver what they advertise. I would recommend staying here and will again if our travels take us this way.

“Thanks for a good night sleep”

We stopped here while traveling back home here in central Florida. We've been out to the western part of the US and stayed in many campgrounds but this was the friendliest when checking in, the owners were great and went out of their way to get you into your site and hooked up

“I-10 and 231 Campground”

Great campground just off I-10 south on 231 in Cottondale, Fl. Several large Pull thru sites with easy access. Full hook ups 30 & 50 amp! Brought us a small carpet for entry door. Vonda even brought us a bag with six fresh laid brown eggs! This is a wonderful couple owned Park. Nice lake for fishing and some outdoor games to play! They accept Passport America 365 days a year for $25! Rest are $40 incl tax per night! No bath house or pool! Perfect for overnight while traveling East and West on I -10!

“From Donna,Skip and Ruca”

This is our second time here. The couple are fantastic. They have done a lot of work and it looks great. They gave us fresh eggs for breakfast. We will be stopping here again in our way back to FL.

“Back Again”

Stayed here again this time leaving FL from a winter stay. See my Oct 2016 review. Great little park right of of I-10 in Cottondale, FL. They added a fishing pond to the park since our last stay. The owners are great and the friendliest. We were given fresh eggs for breakfast and would of had veggies for an omelet if the veggies were grown and ready.
Most site are pull thru's and easy to get in and out of.... Will stay here anytime I go by. Love Truck Plaza close by the entrance to the park and they honor Passport America at the park.

“Kind, clean, convenient ”

Very clean small campground convenient to the highway. We called earlier in the day to see if it was ok to arrive at 8:30. They greeted us with flashlights and took us to our spot. We have an RPod so we did a back in spot in the trees. Very nice! It had rained that day. They even gave us a little fake grass mat to put in front of our door to not track wet sandy dirt in. The pull thru's are more open and closer to the highway. We would definitely make this stop again. Old school great small business customer service!

“Great hosts!”

We stopped here for the night on our way to Perdido Key. The owners, husband & wife, were as helpful, friendly and kind as anyone could ever hope for. The sites are deep, new electric posts and water with great pressure. What a surprise we received when one of the owners knocked on our door and handed us a half-dozen fresh farm eggs! While the campground is new the owners are putting their heart and soul into it as it shows. Another plus is that it is maybe a half-mile away from a Love's Truck Stop. Definitely recommend this place.

“Nicest Owners”

This is a great stop for one night. The owners are extremely nice, and very helpful. The Wi-Fi is the best we have ever had at a campground. We wanted a pull through site, and they told us that the pull throughs were right next to I-10, and it would be noisier. They told the truth but our sound machine pretty much drowned out the big rig noise. I would NOT stay here if it was raining! You turn off a paved road onto a sand packed road to enter the park. All sites are hard packed sand, but the owners furnished you with an outside floor mat. ☺ I would have given 5 stars but the lack of paved roads is why I could only give 4 stars.

“One of my favorites”

The owners greet you at the gate very friendly. The park is so nice, quite and clean. I will be back for sure

“New campground-awesome owners!”

When you drive in, there is no office. You stop at the gazebo on the right and are immediately greeted by the nicest owners. They walk or drive you to your spot & help you back in so arriving after dark is not an issue. They also provide an outdoor mat to use while there.

We built a nice fire in the firebox using the free wood the owners offered. SWEET! If your spot happens to not have a firebox, just let the owners know. They will find one for you.

The spots are sand/gravel and ours was level (#2) and under shade trees, which we love. They also have sunny spots for those wanting to use satellite. We could receive about 18 OTA tv channels and wifi worked great! Easy access to Hwy 231 & I-10.

There are TWO small dog parks (to separate large & small dogs) a small horse corral, volleyball/badminton net, horse shoes (the game) and a few other lawn games. They encourage people traveling with horses to stay (they even had a guest stay with a bull!). They also have a beautiful 3 acre fishing pond for anyone who enjoys fishing (they get their own fish there). The campground is surrounded by forest & nature.

This is a new, very nice small campground. (appx 24 spots). The owners have put a lot of time & thought in to making you feel as comfortable as possible & go out if their way to accommodate you. The cost is $40 per night (inc. tax) and it was worth every penny. They do offer Passport America discounts but I don't know how much (we are not members).

We loved our stay here and will definitely return when we can stay longer!

“Jewel in the rough”

Park has been here for 6 months and is a nice little secret right of I-10. I was given a dirt FHU pull-thru site that was plenty big enough for my 42' 5th wheel (13). I had more than enough room to keep my truck hooked to the RV. I requested an open spot to use my dish, but they have plenty of shaded sites. The wi-fi is the best and the owners are great. I paid $27.75 with Passport America. It is 3 miles to town if you need fuel and supplies. Great for an over night stop. Will stay here again for sure.
Stayed: 07/12/16 to 07/13/16
