“Aggressive, dishonest owner”

It's a nice park, off the beaten path. I would recommend it for short stays to visit the Deschutes National Forest. The bathrooms are clean, and the people are pretty friendly.

However, if you're looking for a longer stay than a weekend, look elsewhere. The neighborhood is full of barking dogs, and screaming neighbors. Rules are enforced haphazardly, and randomly - one person had a barking dachshund outside all day every day, but our silent dog was not allowed to stay outside for some reason. The owner's dogs will be outside all day, every day, barking their fool heads off, but that's okay.

And honestly, it's the owner that ruins the place. He's a hypocrite, as evidenced by the dogs, but he's also a thief. If you pay for a month, he expects new payment the day *before* you paid for the next month. My first month, I paid on the 8th. Next month, I was told to pay on the 7th. When I decided to leave, I was told I was paid up to the 6th, and had to be gone on the 7th. You'd have to be pants on head stupid to think that makes sense.

The angry, obese, Under-Armor clad man will storm around the park with a bad attitude, and is extraordinarily confrontational. On multiple occasions, I watched as he harassed people driving through the park for whatever reason. When he started arguing with me about my wife's driving - making ridiculous accusations that she was speeding around children - it was clear that this was a man who cared more about being right than running a business. Luckily for us, we have the flexibility and finances to pick up and move when things get annoying, but I understand that for a lot of people, it's not easy to do that. So, take my warning, and find another park to stay long term at. Also, be aware that any review for this park by a man named Kodiak is actually the owner, although he never states that. I've reported it everywhere I've found it.
