“White trash welcome”

Drive through a trailer park and deal with the angry bald man. Parents chain smoking on the porch of the office.

Park could be nice....but they don't tell you that they open it up to the locals for $5 a car. Booze and cigarettes. Loud music.

If that was the extent of it, we could deal. Owner favors seasonal drunks. Loud and dangerous dogs tied to campers all night. Drunk neighbors in wife beaters. State troopers called. Surprise, they have dealt with these folks before.

Owner's response: "well they may have had a little too much to drink, but i've never had complaints. "

My response, "so if you beat your wife and you're drunk, it's okay. ". He looked puzzled.

First bad experience in 30+ years of camping.

"Take back VT" movement in full effect. We used to live in the area. I am embarassed for Vermonters. This was white trash at its finest. We will never stay here again. Our group left at 8p.m. For fear of slashed tires or worse in the night.

Really a sad day in our camping lives. We have kids under 4 who were exposed to explicit language from the seasonal drunkards. No class to be found at this place.

The owners wife was, however, as nice as could be. You could see the embarassment and fear in her eyes. She was apologetic to the point where you knew this was not the first time.
